7th China-UK Tribology Symposium on
“Tribology in Transportation Systems”
Date: 6th - 8th April 2015, Wuhan, China
Abstract deadline: 28th February 2015
Ø History and call for papers
The China-UK Tribology Symposium is a joint annual event initiated by National Centre for Advanced Tribology at Southampton (nCATS) and State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication of Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences, and is alternately held in China and the UK. Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) has been involved as a co-organizer since the 5th China-UK Tribology Symposium, held in Qingdao, China. The 6th China-UK Tribology Symposium was held in Southampton, UK from 31st August to 1st September 2014.
It is our pleasure to announce that the 7th China-UK Tribology Symposium will be held in Wuhan, China, from 6th to 8th April 2015, organized by Reliability Engineering Institute of Wuhan University of Technology (WUT-REI). This symposium will focus on “Tribology in Transportation Systems” but research in other areas of tribology is also welcome. Tribological problems originating from transportation systems are becoming new challenges and providing new opportunities for tribologists. They mainly include the following aspects: the friction and wear control of wear components in power systems; new frictional or antiwear materials development for transportation systems; green lubrication modes or environmental friendly lubricants; special tribological problems in the application of new energy; tribological problems in harsh environment for automotive, waterway, ocean, flight and space vehicles, etc. We are pleased to extend an enthusiastic welcome to the 7th China-UK Tribology Symposium.
